The DVS vinyl included with the DVS pack contains a timecoded signal. So your computer can make a realtime analysis to track the motion of the record, simulating the same movement with the digital file. Vinyl timecode reads more than 1000 frames per second and CD timecode reads more than 3000 fps giving it extremely accurate positioning.

Thanks to high quality software RIAA correction, you don't need a RIAA preamp, or "special boxes" ...

MixVibes DVS works with ALL SOUND CARD, one of the differences between them is the latency. If your main use will be scratching, a good sound card (ASIO) are advised. MixVibes DVS supports many kinds of sound configurations: pci, integrated motherboard, usb or firewire sound cards and multichannel sound cards (5.1..).

Lowest latency time on the market
Up to 1ms in Asio - MixVibes supports ASIO sound cards and exclusive ASIO emulation (kernel driver) allowing lowest latency with ALL SOUND CARDS! The latency will depend on your sound card and system configuration (and can drop to 1.5ms).

No Skipping or Drifting
The NDS (never drifting system) assure that the cue point for scratch don't move. While a mix, it assure NO DRIFTING too often in bad conditions (vinyl scratches, instant low resources, rumble...).

VINYL MODES:
Relative mode : moving the needle has no effect, the DJ can scratch at any position in the vinyl without losing the position of the song.
Absolute mode : DJ can change the position of the track with the turntable needle. Also known as needle drop, MixVibes maps the vinyl directly to the position of the mp3.
Wheel mode : The vinyl behaves like a wheel with no track length limitation. You don't need to play continually the vinyl

In July 2005, MIXVIBES released the DVS 2. This pack is a more complete version of the standard DVS: it contains 3 time code vinyl new generation V2, 2 time code CDs, connectors (4 cables and 4 Jacks) and software. Connectors are included in order to making installation easier and the by-pass function (using regular vinyl).

From now on, you can control your audio files from your CD players

Time code CDs included - The CD’s time code is faster for positioning: less than 5 ms! This new time code is perfect for loops or back cueing. Two other tracks are available on the time code CDs to make the research easier (one for the media base, the second for Windows)

Installation tips:

For input, you need a stereo input line to connect a turntable. You can connect your 2 turntables or CD players in 1 sound card or 2 sound cards depending on the number of line inputs. The system can work with 0,1 or 2 turntables.

For output, MixVibes is compatible with multichannel sound system (quad, 5.1 or 7.1) and can manage several different stereo audio outputs. Of course, MixVibes DVS supports external mixers or headphones monitoring.

You just need to plug your turntables to your computer. For this, a simple mini-jack/RCA or RCA/RCA cable will do. You must use line input! Please care to don't forget the ground wire.

You can use real LPs thanks to bypass DVS feature or use the Y DVS v2 RCA splitter for perfect sound quality.
